Staying safe on MyMatch Buea

Your safety and privacy come first. Here is what we do to protect you, and how you can protect yourself.

What we do

• We verify every member. A real person reviews a photo ID and selfie before any profile becomes active.
• We keep your private data private. Your legal name, date of birth, phone number, ID, and selfie are never shown to other members.
• We never expose your contact details. You chat inside MyMatch, so nobody has your WhatsApp number by default. It is shared only when you decide to share it, with that one person.
• We review reports. You can report any member confidentially, and our team acts on it.

How to protect yourself

• Take your time. Chat and get to know someone before meeting.
• Meet in a public place for the first time, and tell a friend or family member where you will be.
• Never send money, airtime, or personal financial details to someone you have met here. Genuine members will not ask.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels off, step back.
• Keep conversations on your terms and set your own boundaries.

Reporting

If a member makes you uncomfortable, behaves inappropriately, or seems fake, use the Report this member option on their profile. Reports are confidential - the person you report is never told who reported them. For anything urgent, contact us at mymatchbuea@gmail.com.
